SOPHAS - GPA Calculations - How much longer?

SOPHAS received my transcripts on 1/22/08. My GPA still hasn't been calculated. I wrote an email to SOPHAS and they said that my application is "in line", what ever that means.

It's been about 2.5 weeks now. Has anyone had a similar experience?

When I submitted my first application to SOPHAS and they had to do all of that sutff, it took almost a month. Don't worry though, so long as you submit to SOPHAS by the deadline, your application will be accepted no matter when it reaches the actual school.

does that mean if my Transcripts and stuff reach Sophas on Feb 15th, and i applied to some place that had a 15th feb deadline, but SOphas takes a month to process the transcripts, will it still be considered to accepteD?

They should still consider you. I am still "in the running" for all of the schools that I applied to, even though some received my application from SOPHAS after their deadlines. It seems like the general rule is that if you submit your complete application to SOPHAS before the school's deadline you are fine.

It took SOPHAS about three and a half weeks to process my application, calculate my GPA, and mail it off to school.

I know it is redundant, but I suggest calling the schools directly if you really want to know about specific programs.

it depends on the school- some schools requiore everything to be in to sophas and some require taht it be completed and in the school's hands by the deadline, so i would check with the schools individually on that.
i turned in my application /transcripts to sophas on january 3rd and i received an email on january 24th saying my gpa had been calculated and my applciation would be sent out in the next weekly mailing..
