Do you guys know when would be the last day of November to safely call it "Pre-December 1st"? I don't think they meet on November 30th to accept students right? Would interview on November 18th be safe? November 21th? Thank you.

Hmm good question. I think it depends on when the last pre-Dec 1st Adcom meeting is. If they meet on Monday, Nov 28th, then I think the last day would be Friday, Nov 25th. However, if the last pre-Dec 1st Adcom meeting was Wednesday, Nov 30th, then probably a Nov 28th or 29th interview day would be the last... I'm totally guessing in this BTW, but I still think it depends on the school haha

Does it matter? An acceptance after Dec 1 is still an acceptance. If you have an interview then you have a good chance of acceptance. Worry less about December 1 and more about the interview itself.

Yes it matters because someone may have to make the Dec. 15 deadline for a $2000 deposit from a Dec. 1 acceptance while waiting to hear back from their top choice school.

Just do the best you can and schedule it as early as possible for which is convenient for you.

The only factor that you have any power over is your performance during the interview. So get prepping buddy.
In my opinion, its really pointless speculating about these things as every school probably does this differently. Anyway... trying to find out information on how each adcom works is as hard as trying to divulge information from the FBI!

to answer your question,
some schools will meet on the last day of the month, and some meet on the 15th, or 21st (made up dates) to make the dec 1st acceptance list. just depends on the school. i know kids who interviewed on the last few days of the month and got accepted on the 1st.
