Hi I need some advice for schools my stats are:
3.7 gpa, state school, 11VR 12BS 14PS
I have ok extracurriculars, shadowed two doctors, research for two semesters, some volunteering, part of a frat (should I include this?)
my personal statement is ok, and my LOR are fairly decent.
i'm a new york resident, my list of schools are:

SUNY Buffalo
SUNY Downstate
SUNY Upstate
SUNY SB
NYU
Mt. Sinai
Cornell
U of Rochester
NYMC
Einstein
Columbia
Baylor
Mayo
Pritzker
I feel like I need mores safeties, does anyone have more ideas? Price and location are important to me, so the closer to the NorthEast is better. thanks alot for any input.

what are you bragging? jk. Include personal info about yourself! Make your application stand out! I don't know about schools (I am already in Med School so am not thinking about that)... but make sure you also talk about what is personal to you and not just how great you are.

By the way, your info looks awesome! GOOD LUCK!!

your list looks fine. if you want to add more schools, consider the pennsylvania schools (pitt, penn, jefferson). vcu could be a good safety to add.

As a general piece of advice looking back -- choose your school based on the hospital and the rotations. Forget about first and second year. Seriously, forget about PBL, forget about lectures, labs, facilities, classrooms, pool tables, libraries, maybe even basic science professors (mm well maybe not really, but sort of). Those things do NOT matter. All that matters is what your experience will be like in your latter two years when you are actually getting medical training. Everybody will learn the same thing in every single med school in the first two years. The only difference is what your patient population will look like in terms of diversity and complexity and your clinical training. I promise that everyone coming out of years 1 and 2 has the same set of knowledge going into step 1. Look long and hard at each school in terms of years 3 and 4.

Full disclosure: columbia, from my experience, is spectacular in years 1, 2, and 3.
