I feel as though my past posts have been insensitive to some people. My perception of SDN is for all of us "nerdy premeds" to share information about our struggles, experiences, and application process. However, if any of my previous might have seemed to be arrogrance, I sincerely apologize. Sometimes I make random posts just to lighten up the mood (ie. I think Duke invites everyone to interview). Life is full of stress and sometimes making jokes helps me.

Also, most of my posts are made while i'm working in the lab. It gets quite boring waiting for your assays to complete. Well, peace out everyone and good luck to those who are getting interviews soon!

I have to be honest and admit that seeing your screen name made me cringe. I thought you were arrogant and trying to show off.

I also want to say that I DO NOT look for the negativity in people's posts, but yours seemed particularly insensitive. But thanks for the apology, I now see that you didn't mean it. You're alright! Good luck to you in this application process too!

Princetonrocks, I actually PMed you to find out when you graduated from my alma mater. I see nothing wrong with your screenname and having a lil/lotta love for your ugrad institution (especially if you are a new graduate). Don't be surprised...there are alot of haters on SDN.

Now I am not sure why you are apologizing..I really haven't noticed you saying anything that would makek me ashamed to have graduated from the same school as you. 😉

Congrats on all your interview.

BTW, when did you graduate...your profile says your major was biochemistry...How is that possible? Last I was there...there was just Mol Bio, EEB, Chemistry, Physics, and Chemical Engineering to choose from...in terms of majors remotely near biochem. Did you create your own major?

As usual, rjmst took time out of his schedule to leave us a small, smelly, brown surprise in this thread. It sucks how some people feel the need to use SDN as their own toilet.

Back to the OP: I'm not sure what you're apologizing for. I don't think you posted any objectionable material on this board. As for the poster who stated that she cringed after seeing your screen name (Chapinsita)...posters like that are just jealous that you go to an undergraduate institution that is heads above theirs. You didn't post anything offensive and this poster still said that she thought you were arrogant/pretentious just by looking at your nickname...lol. So what if you're proud of your undergrad school and you think it rocks? You should be proud because it's a GREAT school and you enjoy going there. I feel the same about my school. If any other posters on here have a problem with that, then it's their problem...not yours. Have a great time at Princeton and good luck on your med school apps (not that you need it..😉 ) !

P.S.: I've had two professors so far who earned their PhDs at Princeton. Both of them were great and I really enjoyed their classes (Calculus and Political Science: Intro to Comparitive Politics). Go bears! And tigers! 😉

To OP...its nice that you realize that stat dropping isn't appreciated around here or for that matter in most places...unless someone specifically asks you. Also, innocently starting threads like "I only have 3 cali interviews" is annoying not because of the content of your post, but you're feigning naivete about why others haven't received this many interviews...

Ok. That is not what I meant. I have nothing against her for being proud of going to Princeton or you for being a Berkeley Premed.

I did not assume anything about her by looking at her screen name, but rather from reading her previous posts.

I meant that seeing her sn made me cringe because I recognized her and her previous posts. Seeing her sn on a thread meant that she was going to, once again, mention her interviews to the UC's, etc. There is no problem with stating your screened secondaries or interview invites on this board, but sometimes PR's posts would be out of no where. There are threads to list your successes thus far, and she did show a lot of insensitivity by responding to posters in need of support with arrogance. It was no big deal though and she did not have to apologize, but she did which was cool to those she had offended.

Princeton Rocks, I have nothing against you, but I posted only to say that I did realize what you were saying and thought you were sincere in your apology. Princeton does rock, and if I had the funds, I would have also gone there in a heart beat. I am proud of my school as well and jealousy has nothing to do with this. I did realize that you were being insensitive, but now understand that you did not mean to. That's all.

Some people sure are jumpy! Why get so worked up over what's in a forum? 😕

I think some of you who are defending PrincetonRocks should go read some of her previous threads.

My favorite one was when she threatened a girl who told her off for an inane, self-indulgent thread that she, Princeton Rocks, would apply to this girl's intended med school, so that she could take up an acceptance spot there, so that this other girl's chances of getting in would go down. No joke. She really made that threat.

It's just hard to respect someone after something like that. She might have a 4.0 at Princeton and 40+ on the MCAT, but she's got the personality of a shoe.

Like I said, I think people should be able to post whatever. Just that PrincetonRocks should keep all this idiotic garbage about herself restricted to one thread where the few people who actually give a **** can read up on it. Or better yet, use private messages like the rest of us who don't have Harvard interviews. There's no need for her to start 3 different threads about herself each day, because they're flooding out the rest of our posts.

First of all, I'm not a gunner. But I will admit though...your post was funny. 🙂 I'm not a fan of shameless bragging, but I do think everyone has the right to be proud of their school without getting bashed into oblivion.
