i tried to ask this question on the MCAT forum and no one was able to supply me with an answer. so im posting on preallo forum because i know there are more experienced applicants here.

my question is: i need to apply for special permission to take the mcat cos' it's my 4th time taking it. I have already submitted my mcat registration online but i haven't send the mcat office a copy of my rejection letter from last year (but i will today). for those who have gone through similar situation, does this affect your test center placement? would the mcat office take weeks to process my registration even if i send my registration online early? I don't wanna take my mcat 60 miles away from where i live. thanks.

I think you should contact them. Most of us won't know, because there are not many people in your situation.

I must ask you a question. What makes you think that you'll do better this time? If you've already taken it 3 times and have not been successful, then why will the fourth time work. I'm assuming you studied the other tries.

No matter what happens, I wish you the best of luck. I hope you find the success that you are trying so hard to achieve.

My first two scores were from more than 3 years ago (they're expired)
I took one this past april and voided my score. Didn't feel well after teh physical section and don't wanna throw up on the person next to me.

so here I am ...taking it for the fourth time. Yea...true...if i've taken it three times before...it's silly of me to think that I will get a dramatically higher score the fourth time. But, I have taken both princeton and kaplan before and scored an average of 33 on their practice tests ( i took over 15 of them).

I thought that if you voided the test, it didn't count as "one of the three" times that you can take the test b4 getting special permission. That's what I was told (at the end of the April test).

Keep up the good work dude, may be you can get a PhD in taking MCAT,
on the other hand, let's hope it doesn't affect the test center location,
Otherwise more power to you dude

you'll be fine, send out the rejection letter or copy of old AMCAS. Realize they cant process it unless u do, but they are usually quick, and I dont see why u shouldnt get ur testing center. Many people actually take the MCAT more than 3x, so its no biggie. They did it like that so folks from TPR, Kaplan and stuff wont be able to take it multiple times.
