I've been accepted to two DPT programs. One offers a pediatrics specialization and actually has like 5 peds courses, as opposed to the other program which has like one peds class and no specialization. Total tuition+room and board is about equal for the two programs. Downside is location, the school with the peds specialization is much farther from my family and I really want to be close to them while I am in school.
That being said, I am really interested in Pediatrics and hope to work in that field someday. What would you do in this situation, is having a pediatrics specialization really beneficial in terms of getting a job in that field? Any input or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
