Recently heard that an individual who finished dental school can work as a dentist all the while going to school part time to specialize in an area that would normally require 2yrs but due to it being part time will instead take 4yrs.

Is this true? I cant seem to find much about it online. I dont know if I want to specialize or not yet but this puts an interesting twist on things.

Maybe a masters of public health...all accredited specialties are full time endeavours...some offer the opportunity to moonlight as a GP on the side...nights and weekends...

A lot of residencies also pay salaries...I for example make tens of thousands every year!

Maybe it's one of those CE "specialties" where you get certification versus being an actual specialist. Kind of like doctors who give Botox injections when they are not a plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
