specialties for lazy people?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
disclaimer: i am not trying to start a flame war between specialties. this is for fun.

i am thinking family medicine at a chill program-> urgent care/cruise ships/botox parties.

Clearly you're trolling for a flame war...red disclaimer notwithstanding.

That said, the answer is obviously Derm.

A better way to discriminate would be easiest lifestyle in training, vs. easiest lifestyle in practice.

Funny that your friend believes that she will have the training and expertise to get a good enough reputation to open a boutique practice with as little training as possible being her first goal. Reality check.

this was just a fun conversation. she actually wants IM and is quite a hard worker.

Path, relatively easy to get into and no intern year. very minimal call. good luck finding a job though.

because medical students know more about residency and practice?

if you wanted to get rid of my thread, why not just delete it?

threads are placed according to whom they are of most interest to, not according to where you will get the best answers.

Because helping med students choose a future field is not the purpose of the general residency forums. It's not really a topic of interest to current residents.

it was just for the sake of discussion. did it seem like i was looking for direction for my career choices? i just thought it might make an interesting thread, and perhaps this topic is something that residents might have insight into and enjoy discussing.

sorry for posting.

There's no need to apologize or get so defensive.

I also don't get why it's such a big deal to have one's thread moved. 😕 So I didn't think it was something that belongs in gen res. So what? It doesn't mean it's not a valid topic of discussion or that it's a dumb thing to ask.

I think you're over-reacting, here.

chill out bra. many residents/attendings browse this part of the forum. It has been moved to Allo because any answers would be of more benefit to current med students than to residents/attendings.
