Background: I will start medical school next fall, while my wife is already a D2 in dental school. My question is, are there any scholarships/grants available for a married couple where both individuals are attending professional school? The thought of having to tackle both sets of loans when we graduate is a daunting one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No. There are tons of married couples where both families are in professional schools. There are no scholarships for that situation. Why would there be? You're going to be in the top 98% of incomes when you're done and practicing - you don't really need the help.

The loans work themselves out. Just don't think about it too much and live reasonably.

Oh! I like what you said angel. I am in almost the same situation and it strongly lifted my spirit. Thank you very much. From the past years, I've been running from a help of student loan and this helped a lot on mu studies. Meanwhile, when I read this article from here Administration announces plan to ease student loan burden, stating that Obama administration is planning to ease the student loan, I find it a great relief. Student loans have overtaken charge cards as the country's main cause of long term debt. To handle this craze, the White House announced a new initiative Wed to reduce that load. The initiative is one of many steps the president is making to boost the economy without the support of Congressional Republicans. Oh! This seems a good news to hear for.
