I took a 3 credit course called Foundations of Organic Chemistry a few years ago and I got a C in it. Last semester I took Organic Chemistry I for 5 credits. Do you think that this would replace this grade or not?

The 5 credit course should definitely replace the 3 credit course, as long as the curriculum is almost the same.

If I can remember well, which I don't since I never went to that class it was a pretty general overview of organic chemistry. Mostly nomenclature type stuff, whereas the actual 5 credit Organic Chemistry I was a real legit course, and now I love organic chemistry ^_^

It really depends on who is checking your transcript. If they feel the replacement is acceptable, then they will replace it. Just put it down as a retake and see what happens.
