Spectroscopy & NMR

Quick question. I haven't taken organic lab yet, so I haven't been exposed to spectroscopy and NMR. I read that most people seem to get MAYBE two questions about spec, if any, but I didn't see anyone mention anything about NMR.

I'll spend a little bit of time memorizing the basic spec peaks, but is it worth the effort for NMR? Also, are there any other major topics from organic lab that I should look into?

i did not see any iR stuff on my exam although i would imagine knowing the 3000 cm-1 and 1700 cm-1 would be sufficient. I did see one question on NMR and that related to coupling. I also had a question on extraction which you would see in orgo lab.

As in with a seperatory funnel?

i did see a basic extraction problem and it also had a specific question on an equipment that we would've used in lab so i think all those would be fair game.
