Hello e'erbuddy,

For those of you who took the DAT already, can you discuss how detailed the spectroscopy portion was? Do I need to relearn everything in my old text books or will the Kaplan white/blue book couple with destroyer suffice? What level of detail are they looking for. Any suggestions?

can anybody help Army out? i'm interested too, i'm thinking maybe 0-2 questions on this subject, and of a very basic design like:
# of signals on H NMR?
# of spX hybridized C atoms on C NMR?
Identification of certain functional groups on IR (alcohols, carbonyls)?

I can't give you question details, but I got maybe 1 or 2. I'd get the ACS book, it will go over more than you even need to know.

Don't worry too much about it.
