How big of a deal is this on the DAT? And what about NMR?

Should I memorize the values for IR?

You may or may not have it on your test. Some say it never showed up, others say only 1 or 2 questions involved spectroscopy. If you want to get those 1 or 2 questions correct, then yes you should memorize the values and be able to visually recognize peaks of different functional groups. Good luck studying!

How hugely does getting 3-4 questions wrong in this section impact the score?

how would the regret feel of not being absolutely sure you nailed those two or three spec questions (how many i got on my DAT) to get the best score you could?

it's time to man up

Yes, if you're already scoring in the 20s, 3-4 questions could mean the difference between a 25 and 20... probably

I took the DAT yesterday and I had at least 2 (it's kind of a blur, lol) NMR questions. One C and one H NMR, I believe.

^ Where they questions about signals like splitting stuff like that or were they actual predict the molecule type questions?
