I started to learn to speed read a couple of years ago (before I got back in school), and it went really well, but I just gave it up because it wasn't really helping me with anything. Now that I am back in school, I want to take it back up.
For those of you that do speed read, how much does it actually help in school? And I always hear the claim, but does it help with comprehension and memory?
