My school recently started using Adobe presenter lectures, and it seems I have run into a wall trying to 2x speed them up. I tried using those video download addons in firefox but I can only get the mp3 file of that particular slide. Supposedly there is a program called Myspeed by Enounce that speeds up any flash based videos, but it is $30 and I was hoping there was a free alternative. If someone has figured this out already you'd be a godsend to me.

Your best bet is to go to one of the various free file converters and convert your current file to a file that is recognised by a capable player. Can you download the files you want to view? if so what is the file extension type?

If you can download through the realplayer plug in you can play back faster using vlc player.
