Hey everyone!

I want to see if I have the chromosome. chromatid numbers down for both oogenesis and spermatogenesis. Is this right?

Spermatogenesis:
-Spermatogonia: 2N, 46 single chromosomes, 46 chromatids
-Primary Spermatocyte: 46 chromosomes, 92 chromatids, 2N
-Secondary Spermatocyte: 23 chromosomes, 46 chromatids, N
-Spermatids: 23 chromosomes/ chromatids, N

Oogenesis:
-Oogonia: 2N, 46 single chromosomes/ chromatids
-Primary oocyte: 2N, 46 chromosomes, 92 chromatids
-Secondary oocyte/ first polar body: N, 23 chromosomes, 46 chromatids
-Egg/ second polar body: N, 23 chromosomes/ chromatids

Is this right??

Thanks in advance!

It's not really that random. You have all the materials necessary. It's really more face value questions. More like what hormone stimulates ovulation type of questions.

im most likely sure that you are right.

also know that in oogenesis:

stops at prophase I when you are an infant
then proceeds to metaphase II when you are in puberty
and ONLY it will complete meiosis II when fertilization occurs
