Thanks to those who have taken the time to make these forums very informative.

A few questions regarding spine surgery from a med student:

1. Is there an advantage as an ortho resident vs. neurosurg resident for acquiring spine fellowships?

2. where can I find info on the differences in lifestyle/pay on academic vs. private surgeons in this field?
