Anyone doing SpineJack in place of traditional balloon kyphoplasty? Thoughts?

Haven't dug in too deep, but supposedly similar efficacy and fewer adjacent fractures.

I have a NS in my area that does tons of Kypho. I’ve seen some great results in terms of height restoration with SpineJack in his hands.

I am trained on Spine Jack but haven’t done any yet. It is more involved than traditional kypho but not crazy. For kypho I will usually go extrapedicular/parapedicular to get bilateral spread through unilateral access. SpineJack you need to go transpedicular bilaterally every time. So it is a bigger time commitment and I am not sure if the reimbursement is more for the
Physician than a normal kypho. Cool idea and product tho. I will do some soon I am sure.

Anyone with a lot of experience on retropulsion and the spinejack? The rep and one of the local guys that does a lot felt that retropulsed fragments could reduce some with vertebral height restoration. I feel a bit more skeptical.

The pedicles are often too narrow to use this. I have yet to find an appropriate case, based on pedicle dimension. Looking retrospectively also, my population has narrow pedicles.
