how long was she on celexa? i agree that maybe she didn't like the side effects. maybe she feels like she shouldn't need medicine to feel okay. maybe she feels like it makes her a weak person. maybe she's a victim of the stigma. if you have children, and you love her and understand the chemical imbalance issue, maybe you can talk to her about why she stopped and perhaps get literature on why psychiatric drugs are neccessary, and if she's worried about the stigma, explain the statistics of psychiatric issues in our society... it's prevalent... and ask her how she felt on the meds. discuss it with her. i can say all of this because i LOVE my celexa and know it helps stablize my mood and allows me to live life more easily.
