Splitting post bac between two different schools

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Would completing part of my post-bac classes at one school (physics and chem at Harvard Extension) and finishing up at UC Berkeley reflect badly on my med school applications? I'm considering moving to California for personal reasons, but I won't even look into it if it makes me a bad candidate for med school.

Thank you!

Should be fine. I had to take a few classes away from Harvard Extension because of summer scheduling. I know several people who cobbled together their prereqs that way.

As long as the programs are comparable and your grades are steady it shouldn't be a problem. If you want to be sure email Fixsen at Harvard Extension and ask him.

Based on what I read about other people's experience is that it won't really matter if your grades are consistent. It really comes down to a good gpa + good mcat score.

Agreed. Go for it. Fixsen didn't have a problem with me taking a summer course outside of HES. Besides, UC Berkeley is a good school. I just wouldn't mix and match 4 different schools as it might look like you're hunting for the easiest grader.
