How about the other side of the religion coin, when patients make decisions based on religion. The best line is "it's in God's hands." I'm not talking about religions that prohibit medical procedures, but the the general, nonspecific fate idea some people have. It's the same people who live in my city-you ask them why they don't wear their seatbelt and they say "If I crash it's in God's hands anyway." To each his own is all I can say.
