Swope Health's AEGD Residency Program is designed to provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary learning experience. Our faculty includes specialists in endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery who will work closely with residents to build confidence in procedures such as surgical extractions, molar endodontics, implant restoration, and more. In addition, our general dentists routinely perform surgical extractions, crown and bridge, and dentures, offering strong day-to-day clinical exposure.
Swope Health is a teaching institution, and we actively collaborate with local dental schools. Our dentists and hygienists are experienced in mentoring students and residents, with a shared goal of helping each individual grow into the best version of themselves clinically and professionally.
Beyond clinical development, residents are considered full-time employees and receive a competitive stipend, benefits, and eligibility for loan forgiveness programs at the state or federal level.

Education Requirements:
- Completion of a dental degree, DDS or DMD from an accredited school of dentistry.
- Required Standardized Test: INBDE, NBDE1, and NBDE2.
- You must have passed the INBDE before matriculation into the advanced dental education program.
- You must provide your Dental Transcripts
- Four(4) recommendation letters from candidates' dental school, including:
- One (1) institutional evaluation letter written by dean of the dental school.
- Three (3) professional evaluation letters written by dental faculty members or mentors.
- Personal Statement.
- Applicants must be graduates of a CODA accredited dental school and are US and/or Canadian citizens
