Hello,
Any advice out there for an 3rd year MS trying to do electives in sports medicine/high altitude training, and which universities/hospitals offer them? And what exactly is the route one would take to specialize in sports medicine? Anyone know any good links or someone to contact in regards to this? Thanks.

Isn't Family Medicine one way of getting to a Sports Medicine fellowship?

You can do sports med thru FP, Peds, IM & EM, I'm pretty sure. If you look at www.physsportsmed.com and search their back issues, they have a fellowship listing every year. I don't know much about electives, though. EM has a lot of wilderness medicine, so I'd check www.saem.org and look at rotations. Hope this helps a little.
