Are you actually referring to the program at St. Elizabeth's Hospital (Spine and Skeletal Pain Medicine) which is run by Dr. Nadeer Haider? If so, it is an interventional spine program. One of the attending graduated from my program at Nassau University Medical Center. From another former resident, I was told that it is a very comprehensive spine program. That same person nearly took the fellowship offer but wanted to go into practice immediately due to his age and personal interests. Unfortunately, there is no sports medicine in this fellowship.

You might want to look at Dr. Geraci's program in Buffalo. They have a very good Sports & Spine program.
