Is there a way to see the number of spots offered by each residency program, broken by advanced and categorical, for this new ERAS/NRMP cycle? I know programs have NRMP codes, but I can't seem to find a way to see the exact number of available positions per code. It seems like it should be easy information to find...

AMA Freida might have the info you're looking for.

thanks, it did have the info for 3 of the 7 programs in question... I guess I'll have to anonymously call the other programs. It's strange that this information cannot be easily found online, for example on the residency websites!

There's that info for last year on the NRMP. I doubt it would've changed much.
This. http://www.nrmp.org/data/programresults2008-2012.pdf has it for the last 5 years.

Otherwise, there is some data in FREIDA you can't see on the search pages for some reason. If you're an AMA member, you can utilize the "download" function on any saved searches and it gives you an excel spreadsheet fills in a lot of the stuff like the # of spots for the programs that don't have it visible.

Thanks man, that NRMP link was exactly what I was looking for!
