I'm trying to plan my schedule for the Spring Semester. I had already went to my counselor and talked to her about it. If this helps any, I'm a Post-bac, trying to retake a few classes and finish my pre-reqs for pharm-school. I'm planning on applying for the Fall 2014.

Does this spring schedule look heavy to you? Think it's managing at least 16 hours. I'm on a six week schedule. The school I go too is on semesters though.

Before the Spring term officially starts, I have a Biology Seminar class. It's like BIO 400 for Natural Science majors (It seems like it'll be easy. There's no tests just writing a large chunk of a paper) And a Pathophysiology class that is running until two weeks before 1/28.

General Chemistry I & Lab - 1/28/3/07 - It's a retake for me since I don't recall much about it back in 2010. My advisor who was on the dental admissions for years said for me to retake it because I only received a C.
General Chemistry II & Lab - 3/19-4/25
Physics II Lecture 5/6-6/12 - That's a retake

Then I was thinking of taking Organic Chemistry II as well through a regular 16 week course at a community college. My advisor again told me to just go ahead and take it since I've done Organic Chemistry I that way and I'm managing an 92% in the class right now. Organic didn't have a pre-req for General Chemistry II. She says it'll be better for the PCAT and the admissions group since most of my pre-reqs will be done. Is this true? I'll just have Biochemistry and Genetics to take in the Fall and possibly Cell Biology in the Spring.

I'm also enrolled in Biostats course starting in the summer a week after Physics II. It ends in June and again that's a 6 week course. I was thinking of taking Economics (Macro) online at a community college as well, but don't want to overdo it because I need to take my PCAT in the summer.

Are those the only two classes you are taking? If they are, definitely pick up that Orgo II course, since Physics II and Chem I are retakes. Keep in mind though that you will have two labs, and you really needa crack down and get a much better grade than a C since you are retaking Chem and whatever you got in Physics (though some schools don't require it).

Also, you can definitely manage Macro over the summer while studying for your PCAT. I had work, school, and a social life I wanted to balance, but I only studied for a month and ten days and got a composite score of 99 percentile. Invest in Dr. Collins PCAT study guide and Kaplan's book and you'll be fine.
