ok so i'm a sophomore at Rice university and have recently become a Texas RDA, i'm currently aiming to get into dental school after only 3 years meaning that i need to submit my application this next cycle, i'll be taking the DAT sometime in the spring semester after i get a sufficient amount of Ochem experience...what i dont know what i should do is if i should pursue getting a part time job as a dental assistant during the spring semester or is i should just focus on preparing for the DAT and making sure i do well in classes...

any input?

well, i've been shadowing for about two and a half years now, but i was leaning more towards just spending this next semester to DAT prep, just wanted to make sure it is truly the correct thing to do even though my parents insist that i need to get a job...
