generally I think USA starts interviewing about 6 months before the start date. I applied for the September start and was told by Steve Jones interviews would start late February.

Feb interviews will be for Sept start so it will most likely be mid-Nov for May start. I did my interview for Jan start in July.

I am interviewing 9/29 for Jan 2013 admissions, so I think it all depends on how many applications they get and how busy they are.

I applied for Spring 2013, was waitlisted, rolled over into Summer, and now have an interview for May 2013 later this month. Really looking forward to it.

Congrats!! Did you have to chance to interview in the Spring? Just wondering what your experience was like?? If you interviewed before being put on waitlist what was your essay??

Nope, never got the chance, just got waitlisted. I finally have that chance now though!

Just got an email saying I was accepted. Did anyone else get one? Kind of sad that it wasn't a phone call!

same here. at the florida interview, they said they'd be calling us in about 2 weeks. but i'd be happy with an email!

Dpt:

What were your stats?

I still haven't heard anything. I am getting nervous since someone already got accepted.

I feel like a lot more people would be on here saying that they were accepted if they sent out all the acceptances to everyone.

I interviewed at the San Marcos campus. I was a little bit weary about it at first cause I have received an accidental acceptance before from Mount Saint Mary's however I did log into the website they gave us to check on the status of our application and it said I was accepted! so I guess I am. Still weary cause it seems as if no one else has received one.

What were your stats if you don't mind sharing? I had 3.4 in both cumulative and pre reqs and got rejected. I didn't even get wait listed. Kinda bummed.

leh1387, what did you get on the GRE if you don't mind me asking? That seems odd getting rejected with 3.4 GPA. Did you get all of your pre-reqs and observation hours?

Gray0620, was it by email or phone call?

Cumulative GPA: 3.3
Pre-Req GPA: 3.81
Verbal: 470
Math: 680
Writing: 4.0
Observation Hours: 650 Outpatient Clinic.

Keep your head up. I would call to find out why you have been denied admission so you know what to improve upon. Best of luck.

I was accepted to the San Marcos campus for May 2013, BUT I am deferring to Fall 2013 because I won't have my last prereq done in time, so that should open up a spot for someone who got waitlisted!

Stats:
UCLA, Biology B.S.
Undergrad: 3.39
Prereq: 3.33
GRE: 159v, 163q, 4.0aw

I got accepted as well! I got an email yesterday morning and then a phone call a couple hours later. I missed the phone call cause my ringer was down but they left a congratulatory message. I start at the Florida campus in May!

Hey do you think it's okay to ask what got us wait listed rather than accepted? Or is it better to just wait it out.

I would just wait it out. They just give you some general answers most of the time...Eventually you get to start classes sooner or later...LOL

Congrats ! what was your stats? 🙂

I applied back in June so IIRC I think it was 3.4 GPA, 298 and 4 GRE, and 6'00". 😀
I think it was my last two years that did it for me though. My last two years of school I had a really high GPA since my first year wasn't so hot as I was still trying to work full time and was on-call, and school full time.

I was waitlisted for Spring but got in for Summer.

james123: ok you got wait listed for Spring and got into Summer..but when did they let you know that you got into the Summer Term? just right before May..? or you had time to get "ready" ..like a few months before....? 🙂

No, I'm part of the new admissions for the Summer 2013 class. I didn't know until everybody else knew, last Friday. As for the waitlist for Spring 2013 I was notified about that months earlier, I believe in August or September.

Yeah, I thought I was going to have to take some more undergrad classes to help make myself more marketable since the only grad school I applied for is USA. But it came around and worked out so I'm happy!

Great soo that means I just have to wait to get called and attend...LOL 🙂
Congrats to you 😉.

Does anyone know where most PT students live while attending St. Augustine. I was accepted to the May 2013 class and I am currently looking for places to live and have no idea where to even begin. Do students usually have roommates their first year, or is it more of a situation where you are all on your own until you know your classmates? If anyone could tell me what some of the more popular areas are for student living that would be great. Also, is anyone familiar with the cost of living in St. Augustine? I've read so many different things on this forum and there doesn't seem to be a clear consensus on how much it actually costs to live near the school.

Thanks!

I also will be attending USA in May, and have heard The Preserves and Villa San Marcos are the places most students stay. I'm sure a current student can give you better insight though.

I have been working to save up a downpayment for a condo in the area, and hope to find some roommates. I'll keep you updated if I find any nice places or hear of anything other than what I mentioned above.

Yes that's right. I would say 15-20 of my classmates and I live here in the Preserves, not to mention students in other trimesters. PM me for more information

Kevin,
How far is the "Preserves" or "Villa San Marcos"from the University? Do you guys have roommates? ..or renting apartments individually. How about the rent $$$ Is it expensive? ...thanks for your feedback..Is it pretty safe to live there?
