Hi. I'm currently a high school student wishing to pursue a career in pharmacy. The only two colleges I'm planning to apply to are LIU and St. John's. I really want to go to St. John's only because once I get into the pharmacy program, I won't have to compete for a seat after my second year like LIU. I do know that St. John's is very competitive for enrollment and I was wondering if I even have the slightest chance of being accepted.

GPA: 3.5
SAT math:560
SAT reading: 600
Currently in only one club.
Planning to do internship at a pharmacy

Get a higher math SAT. That score is below average for most 0-6 programs, and usually people with below average SAT scores are considered only if their math is significantly higher than their verbal, as adcoms for pharmacy school really don't care about verbal so much. I would say aim for over a 600 SAT, and your chances will be very good if you get it up to a 650.

Any input on st.John's please - program, faculty, school....
