Is stamina an issue on board exams? I feel like at this point I can bust out 4 hours no problem, but I don't want to bonk in the last hour. To those who have sat for Level/Step 1, did you simulate full 8-hour tests prior to the real thing?

Absolutely. In the first couple blocks I had about 20-25 minutes to go over my answers. By the last block I had maybe 5-10 minutes. I caught many mistakes in those first few blocks with careful review, probably not so many in my last blocks.

I didn't do any practice tests as I felt they were a waste of time relative to studying or doing question banks. No matter how much you simulate, 8 hours is going to be a long time. Just get plenty of sleep the night before and ration your break time during the test on the later blocks.
