Stand alone questions?

How many should there be? On all the practice exams up to 7 there have been 2 sections of stand alone questions, however I was flipping through 7 and noticed there were 3 per section (which would be good for me).

There have been three sections of stand alone questions on every exam and section test I have taken, one each following passages 4, 8 and one at the end.
