Standard score vs. Percentile

Do dental schools look more at the standard score or the percentile for the DAT? Because the percentile could vary, with the same standard score, since the percentile is relative, correct?

they look at the standard score....pretend the percentile score isn't there...i'm not really sure why they have it except for your own personal knowledge...

but how would the percentile calculated?
if someone got 99%, would that mean first or second out of 100 people? is it more like ranking or just score itself?

as far as i understand, you would be the first out of 100 if you have 99%.

if 99.5% you are 1 of 200
if 99.9% you are 1 out of 1000
if 99.99% you are 1 out of 10000
