Stanford Application, 2 letters or 3?

So I applied to Stanford this cycle and when I was preparing for application season I made a spreadsheet of how many letters/what type of letters the programs I was applying to required. I had listed Stanford as 2... but when I was looking at their website today I saw it said they require 3, and the deadline was Oct 1st. So...does anyone else who applied there know if that's new or if it's always been 3. I guess if it's 3 I'm SOL... which sucks.

I think it was originally 2 - because I made a similar-sounding spreadsheet and had 2 on there - and I think it was recently changed to show a total of at least 3 letters. I ended up assigning the same number of letters to each school so by default Stanford got the required number of letters for me, but I can totally see where the confusion lies because I would have done the same thing as you if I had gone off my spreadsheet - sorry about that, what a bummer 🙁 It wouldn't hurt to just assign a third letter to Stanford in ERAS just in case...!

thanks zipps, I appreciate you getting back to me! I feel a little less crazy now.. I went ahead and added a 3rd letter, we'll see what happens.
