Hey,

The Stanford 1 yr masters is a coterm degree that's only available to Stanford undergrads. If you went somewhere else, it'll take you 2 years to get the masters.

Ok, since this thread got very little play I did the unthinkable -- called the admissions director. Here's the scoop, if anyone cares:

You don't have to be a Stanford undergrad;
It takes 9 mo. regardless of where you did your undergrad;
21/50 were accepted this year;
Med school classes are allowed;
Deadline was Mar. 15;
Expensive -- ~$30K for 9 months.

edit: also need >3.0 and very good GRE scores
