Hey all...

I read some advice on this website about the Pritzker secondary and it was really helpful. Now I'm stuck on the Stanford secondary...it asks, basically, to describe how I am "diverse. "Specifically, "The Committee on Admissions strongly encourages you to share unique, personally important, and/or challenging factors in your background, such as the quality of your early educational environment, socioeconomic status, culture, race, ethnicity, or life or work experiences. Please discuss how such factors have influenced your goals and preparation for a career in medicine."

Fortunately, I've led a very comfortable life with great education, financial status, etc. I'm a caucasian Jewish female so I can't really claim any disadvantages there either. Any ideas?

How about focusing on the work experience part? Have you ever had a family member (maybe grandparent) who was sick - i.e. let you see what it's like to be a patient really in need of care?

where was the helpful info for the chicago app?

It was under "Pritzker secondary, " or something like that, but weeks and weeks ago....we're talking like mid-July here, or earlier....I don't know if you can search by post or thread-name, or date, or whatever...sorry....

talk about your religion and how it'a affected you life.
Do you have any siblings?
What kind of volunteer work have you done?
Have you had any difficult experiences?

I feel kinda in the same boat on this secondary but I don't like the other multiple choice essay question either.

i talked about a hard challenge but it happened to smell like a diversity essay

I'm sure anyone can find something in their life that is:
"unique, personally important ... challenging factors in your background, such as ... life ... experiences"

Ahh yes, I butchered their prompt.

would majoring in something less "pre-med" like business do the job or should this be more EC orriented?
