Hey guys, this is not a usual question and most of you may not heard of this before. I recently found out that my acne mainly around my mouth is from staph aureus infection and It wasn't actually acne it was folliculitis. I am not sure why this would happen only around my mouth even though I don't shave that area. It happen under my mouth and on top of my mouth to the right and left side only. I been thinking about maybe it has something to do with my dental filling. I know metal valve replacement can give people endocarditis in the heart from a staph infection. Could this be why my follicles keep getting infected around my mouth? I only have 1 dental filling and I am in my 30s. This is important for me because I haven't been able to be in a relationship because this area keeps giving me problems and the only way to prevent it is using antibiotics. I became resistant to some of them but in the future I may become resistant to all so I would like to find the root cause so I don't have to worry about it again.

SDN is not a place for dental/health care advice. Follow up with your dentist/PCP for diagnosis and treatment advice.

Doxycycline is your friend.
this doesn't sound like a dental issue.
Go to your PCP and get checked out.
Staph can be pretty nasty
