LCME is loath to strip a school of its accreditation. Far more likely is that specific deficits will be identified and the school will be given a period of time (12-18 mos give or take) to correct the problems.

If it is your only offer of admission, the general consensus is that you should run with it. In the very unlikely event that CNUCOM loses accreditation, you could jump ship and apply at that point. Schools might take pity on you but your application would have to be comparable to other admitted students for that school in order to get an offer (pity points won't get you into Stanford or UCSF).

You can open an application de novo in July. You 'll be behind schedule but you'll also need to check the box about having been a student in the past and that will highlight the fact that you are a refugee from CNUCOM and someone may feel badly for you enough to overlook the lateness of your application.

I'll admit I haven't been keeping tabs on where CNUCOM is in the process. You can be sure that with all that is on the line they'll move heaven and earth to be in compliance at the time of the visit.

What's Northstate's deferral policy? Can you still recover your refundable deposit?

Yes, it stinks if CNU is your only acceptance, and if they don't know their status until after matriculation (you can't rush the LCME on anything), you can only go with what the school is telling you now.

In my perspective, as far as AMCAS is concerned, you would have to indicate you have been enrolled in medical school once before. There will also be the issue of transcripts. I'll keep looking up stuff...
