I've looked into it myself. Problem is finding a niche market to fill.

i think the best thing you can do in terms of securing your future as a medical student is devoting your time to medical school and secure a residency that you will be happy in, so that you won't have to worry about money as much. all the same, there will probably be opportunities for consulting, etc. once you are an attending.

just read the above posts. Not to dissuade you, but seriously, read the "would you do it again thread" in its entirety. Seriously 😳.
The days of doing medicine have changed, its not bad, don't get me wrong. But I'm not sure that if I had an established profession and was doing well, and had prospects, that I would invest in the medical field right now, for many many many reasons.
If it's in your heart, go for it, but please read the thread.
