Hey guys I'm starting my MCAT prep class next month through Kaplan. Any advice? How long did you guys study outside of class?

I have the Exam Krackers study package and so far Ive gone through all of the Biology book. I attempted to go thru the VR section and the first test I did...I got like 4 or 5 questions right out of 23 🙁 Im sooo scared for the VR section. How did u guys study for this??? Tips? 🙁

Also, I'm taking O chem II and Physics II @ the same time as the prep class...Hopefully it will be fresher in my mind. I'm signed up for a pathophysiology class, but I might drop it. I know I can make A's in Ochem II and Physics II (easy teachers..lol). I kind want to stay in the Pathophys class (I know I can get an A...prop not that helpful for the MCAT though) because I'm on the border for my science gpa--->if i take patho I could get a 3.7 sgpa..instead of 3.68 (will this really matter when applying to med schools?)

Thank you!!!

This should have been posted in the MCAT section. Look at the sticky stuff in the MCAT section. It should answer all your questions. A 3.68-3.7 wont really make a difference. Take a look at the What r my chances section also.

That gpa difference won't matter.

Relax about the test. Have faith in the course you're taking. Everyone struggles with the MCAT at first. Work hard, and do what your teacher says. Supplement the course with whatever YOU figure out YOU need to do. By the same token, if one of their strategies isn't working for you, forget about it. Give it an honest shot first, but if it doesn't work then it doesn't work.

Get a refund....Kaplan sucks more (insert here) than Kim Kardashian

Don't let your diagnostic score discourage you. Almost everyone scores in the teens and low 20s on their diagnostic because it's designed to be much harder than anything you'll see on test day. I didn't know this when I took my diagnostic test and I freaked out.

Do as many practice problems and practice tests as you can!

Also, fine print detail, but you have to go to all classes and do all the required work to be eligible for that Higher Score guarantee.
