Starting Science section with Organic?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Probably a good strategy since I heard biology is mostly cramming and you might forget it after you study everything else. You could also read up some biology before O-chem and keep refreshing as you go through.

Well, if you mean when you are taking the real test starting with Ochem, not really. You would have to skip through 70 questions which would take a couple of minutes and then start on the Ochem questions, then go back to the general chemistry sections and then the biology, which would waste several minutes of your time. Having the chemistry questions last I think is good because if you take a little longer on the the Bio questions you can always zip through the chemistry sections at the end, and then go back to the biology questions that were difficult if you have time. Just mark the ones you are not sure of.

Yeah, I am pretty sure you would have to hit the Next Question box 70 times to get to Organic Chemistry. Unless you can hit review All at the beginning, but I think you have to finish all the questions to get there. But even if you are better at Chemistry, I think that it is to your advantage to have it at the end, because you can go back and review the more difficult Biology once you finish the Chemistry.

ur killing about 5mins skipping through 69 questions to the orgo section, considering some of the questions along the way you'll get jammed up on when u have to scroll down before being able to skip to the next question...GL

You should probably stop skipping when you practice on Crack DAT Science. What helped me was practicing the exam the way it will be given. Like the other posters have said, you got to skip 69 questions to get to the first orgo problem and that just kills your time. I feel like a lot of the DAT is time management and killing a few precious minutes to skip is just a silly strategy.

Best of luck!

You will really waste your time skipping ...also practice with the sequence as laid out in ADA tutorial....I had hard time settling to the notion that RC was before QR on real DAT...in my practice i was doing QR before RC and throughout real test felt a little thrown off on time after break...just because i didnot practiced it that way or paid little attention to ADA tutorial for sequence.
