This is one of my first posts on here.

I have family in multiple states and could see myself practicing dentistry in any of those states. Does anyone know how long before you apply that you have to be a resident of that state? How would it hurt my chances at getting into the schools back in Florida?

Pretty sure you cannot be a resident of more than one state at a time and Florida schools tend to only take Florida residents...so it would certainly hurt your chances to get admission there.

check out the school's website to see if they say anything about residency requirements. The school's residency requirements for the purpose of in state tuition may be different than the general requirements for that state. So do your research 1st.
