Which states offer state residency after living there for a year or more? For example, I have heard that Connecticut offers state residency after living there/attending school there for one year, such as the University of Connecticut, thus you would pay cheaper in state tuition after one year of attendance. What other states/schools have this opportunity?

I hear you can get state residency in NV after 1 year- tuition drops from 72k to 42k

Ohio State offers this option

UNC is another..

I will caution you though, from the perspective of someone who moved here in 2008, you can try to claim residency after living in NC 1 year prior to the start of the semester, but if you've lived here less than 3 you have to do their 'long-form' residency form, which is a pain.

Oregon does not.

California does (unless it has changed since 2005).
