quick question:
FA says the following:
Power (1-B): depends on:
1. total number of end points experienced by population
2. Difference in compliance bw treatment groups (differences bw mean values bw groups)
3. Size of expected effect
What exactly does that mean. I know you can increase power by increasing sample size, making the difference you are looking for b/w groups be smaller to be significant or picking a greater alpha level.
Can someone translate that FA thing for me....thanks!
