Hey guys,

Is taking biochem and statistics over the summer doable? Or should I hold off on statistics?

And on another somewhat related note... I noticed (way too late) that many med schools list for their prereqs "a year of calculus and statistics". Now, does this mean a semester of calculus and a semester of statistics will suffice? Because I already took calculus 1... I really don't want to take calc 2 lol

Possibly. Depends on other summer plans. If you are only going to plan on summer school, I would say it's doable. However, if you're like me and you work a job in addition to summer school, I would definitely choose between the two and only pick 1.

Yes. you will be fine—they mean 1 calc, 1 stats (biostats preferred). [/QUOTE]

Did stats over the summer.
Highly possible to take stats.. with another hard science.
Stats wasnt that hard - could see a lot of use in real life and it is like Spanish- it is fun!!

I think it depends on what your university's statistics class is like. I thought my stats class was fun & easy but I also just really like statistics so YMMV

Cheers guys. Looks like I'm taking stats over summer as well.

If I am going by a 3-quarter system, is it better to do 1 quarter calc, 2 quarters stats, or vice versa? My guess is that stats is more important, correct?
