Statistics counts as math?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes, it will count under mathematics.

Statistics is customarily a math subject, as long as the title of the Statistics class you took is not "Business Statistics" or the like.

It should count as a science/math course towards your BCPM (mine did).

I took a stats course titled "business statistics" through the business department, so this doesnt go under BCMP right?

man i hate stats... made a B+ in that class

I would say that for clinical research, statistics is the most important form of Math to understand

Right. That is unlikely to be considered a math course. You can always try and see if a reviewer changes it.

I loved stats. We came up with an excuse to do food-based "experiments" all the time. Like Chi-squared analysis of M&M color distribution, and star burst flavor distribution..and how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop. Yummiest. Class. Ever.

It'd probably be best to check with your counsellor.

I took calc I and STAT. I think Calc I is required in most places, no?

statistics is a really good course for research and at most schools it does fall somewhere under a math requirement but I would take an introduction calculus course to be positive....many schools require calculus to satisfy their requirement
