Hey all,

I was reading the ADA's website the other day when I was taking a break from studying (yes Im obsessed) and I came across this which was quite interesting.

http://www.ada.org/sections/educationAndCareers/pdfs/adea_dat_update2012.pdf

If you read slides 6 and 7 it states something along the lines of them including much more statistics and probability type questions and eliminating the trigonometry and calculation based questions from the exam because they want more critical thinking in this section. They said they will begin to implement this in 2013 (aka now) and that the questions presented in their "test" will not factor into the QR score they will only be used for experimental analysis. My question is does this mean that statistics based problems will not factor in to the QR score? I have my exam in 9 days and was going to spend some time going over p-values today, but if it will not affect my score one way or the other then I will delegate my time towards something that will lead to more of an increase in other areas.

From my understanding these are just questions to gather data and don't factor in to QR at all. I wouldn't waste time on it at all and would only focus on the math subjects that influence your score!

I also have the same question. I am taking my test on Jan 21. My weakest part in QR is statistics and probability. I asked a guy who posted his breakdown (26AA and 30 QR) about the number of statistics questions he got... He said he got only 2-3. Recently, I did test 5-8 of math destroyer and scored 21-22. I don't know if I should keep doing more tests or study something else. On test 7 and 8 I ran out of time and wasn't able to finish like 3-4 questions. Let's hope there are not too many statistics question and even if they are present I am planning to do them at last.
