Does Psychology-based Statistics fulfill the Stats requirement for med schools that require it? Below is a sample excerpt from my school course catalog:

Introduction to Statistics (4) Introduction to the experimental method in psychology and to mathematical techniques necessary for experimental research. Prerequisite: one year mathematics or consent of instructor.

I don't know..that seems kind of sketch. Doesn't seem like very intense stat at all..but I don't know...do they post the syllabus ?

the course is taught by the psych department

It doesn't matter; AMCAS looks at the course content, not the department.

Like I said, I did this and it was fine.
