Just trying to get some insight on applying to OT school.

My overall GPA is 3.29, OTCAS verified.
I have not taken the GRE.
I have shadowed a PT for 40 hours (which was a lot of hand therapy) and so far I have done around 32 hours in a nursing home (inpatient)
I will be doing 2 days at an elementary school within the next two weeks as well and plan on continuing at the nursing home.

I work full time during the day which is why I don’t have many hours.

So far I have applied to ATSU’s MSOT and OTD program. It’s my top choice and I’ve been waiting to hear back but I’m looking for other advice/options.

Hey.

I have a 3.3 overall GPA and I already got accepted somewhere and have two more interviews. Also, I had a 3.8-4.0 prereq GPA. I would take the GRE ASAP as it takes about 2 weeks to get the test scored and about a week to get those scores sent to otcas/schools. PT shadowing would not count towards minimums I think. I would count the PT and hand therapy you saw separately. I think depending on your interview/gre/LOR's you have a good chance getting in somewhere.
