hey guys, just took my DAT, here are my stats. I trying to get into a california school so any feedback would be very helpful. thanx for all the input.

undergrad: UC Irvine
major: Biology
Cum GPA:3.46
Sci GPA:3.52

PAT:18
QR:19
RC:19
Bio:21
OC:21
GC:21
Avg:20
NS:21

You are a good candidate for LomaLinda, UOP & USC,
a liitle higher PAT (=20+) would help, but UCLA and UCSF
needs both higher GPA and DAT. LomaLinda is for the
guys who has religious beliefs, may be I am wrong.

I think the average GPA for LA and SF was around 3.7 ish.. I am not sure. You should check their websites 🙂

But remeber that avg 3.7 doesn't mean you need a 3.7.

They take people all over the board, but probably more from the higher end. With a 3.5 and a good interview you should have a great chance.

For some reason, I thought UCSF is really into diversity.
You have to be somewhat special ethically or something major happened in your life along with good stats to get accepted.

As for UCLA, GPA and DAT are the most important selection criteria.

UOP requires you to apply early.

I have no clue about USC.

i think your gpa is definitely good enough for ucsf and ucla. i got an interview with ucsf and my gpa is 3.3 overall and 3.1 science so dont worry about your gpa. i did pretty well on the dat's but i think your dat's are fine too so i think you have a good chance. as long as you have other things along with just gpa and dat's then i think you have a chance at getting in the cali schools. good luck!

You have great stats. I would suggest for you to applied to a number of schools. I think the average is 10. I have a friend with similar stats who applied only to LLU. This was a bad decision and she was rejected. LLU is kinda funny. You can have a 3.9 GPA, and have a 27AA/20PAT, and they will pick your weakest stats to give reason to reject you. In this situation it would be the 20 PAT. We all know this is ridiculous because a 20 PAT is far above their average PAT. The point is LLU is looking for a religious involvement at the least. Unless, you are really involved in you church, do not but much faith in LLU acceptance.
