I'm going into my third year of college. So I didn't take any classes this summer since budget cuts took out some classes that I could have taken.

I'm doing some volunteering at a homeless shelter, shadowing, and working a little at my uncle's shop. I'm even scanning through some of my old science notes to stay kind of refreshed.

Can you suggest anything else that I should be doing to stay productive?

DAT Prep, Research in a lab, read up and get a bit ahead on the science classes you'll be taking next semester.

Take a look at the ADA outline for the DAT. Figure out when you want to take it (in other words when will you have Chem I/II, O-chem I/II, BIO I/II etc... completed)

I can't really think of anything else that you should be doing. Just keep shadowing and volunteering.

Sounds like you're keeping busy, but remember to have some fun and enjoy your summer!
